GAEA TRAINING NEEDS MAPPING REPORT

The GAEA Training Need Mapping Report is a comprehensive report of the training need analysis conducted in the frame of the GAEA project. The need analysis includes the identification of the target groups’ characteristics, learning preferences, training and support needs, knowledge and skills deficits and requirements, as well as business profiles and acknowledged competences.

The GAEA Training Need Mapping Report is a comprehensive report of the training need analysis conducted in the frame of the GAEA project. The need analysis includes the identification of the target groups’ characteristics, learning preferences, training and support needs, knowledge and skills deficits and requirements, as well as business profiles and acknowledged competences.

 

The analysis is based on quantitative and qualitative data and information collected by: 

  1. an extensive literature review about the identification of the training needs of women agri-preneurs

  2. an online desktop research focused on the depiction of training programs and courses as well as their components, at HEI and VET level related to the field of agri-preneurship in the GAEA partner countries

  3. a qualitative survey through semi structured interviews for getting more insights about the education and training provision on agri-preneurship issues, with the participation of professors (HE) and trainers (VET), 

  4. an online survey about the identification of the current challenges and skills needs addressing: a) women NEETs and migrants and b) supportive organizations, VET trainers and HE professors 

  5. interpretation of existing ESCO occupations and qualifications as well as interpretation of EntreComp and DigiComp and ESG

  6. The mapping exercise also incorporates future projected skills needs in the partner countries, based on first-hand data compiled

The report also presents the needs gaps based on which the training curriculum and content will be developed and designed in the framework of the GAEA project.
